| Ching
Yun University – previously, Chien-Hsing Industrial College -- was
established in 1966. In 2003,
the Ministry of Education approved the upgrade of this institution from
college status to its current standing as a university. At present, this institution has
twelve departments, including the departments of Civil Engineering,
Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering,
Industrial Engineering and Management, Finance Banking, International
Business, Information Management, Marketing and Distribution, Business
Administration, Applied Foreign Languages and Computer Science and
Information Engineering. In
addition, it has five research centers: Logistics Management Center, Digital
Earth and Disaster Reduction Research Center, Green Energy Center, Euro-Asian
Center and e-GPS Research Center. As a private university consisting of 2-year senior college programs, 4-year undergraduate curriculums and graduate institutes, Ching Yun has won national and international recognition for academic excellence. Schools signing Memorandum of Cooperation Agreement with Ching Yun are more than 36 worldwide, including the University of Wales, Murray State University, Nottingham Trent University, Hanoi University of Technology, University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, etc. Areas of study include Academic Degree Programs for degree earning, Language Specialized Programs for international language training and Professional-Technical Programs for job and professional skill preparation. |
