Our university was founded in 1940 and renamed
as National Hsinchu University of Education in 2005. In order to meet the
needs of the current situation and future development direction, our
university comprised colleges of education, science, and liberal arts. The

are to be engaged in academic research and serve the country and scocity, to
prepare teachers for elementary education, presschool education and special
education, as well as to cultivate various specialities ofr the cultural and
educational field. The universitymotto is profundity, elgance, magnanimity as well as success.

library and Computer and Netword Center provide students with a rich data
resource including written words, pictures and dynamic visual data in order
to provide the students with powerful supports for future academic research
and teaching.

including those held by the assoications such as arts, recreation, service,
self-government, social events, sports and extensive acitvities including
strawberry season, arts festival, public performance for childeren operas and
