Established
in 1980 alongside Kaohsiung's scenic Hsitzu Bay in Southern Taiwan, NSYSU has
emerged over the years as one of the best comprehensive universities in
Taiwan, and has set the benchmark for high standards in teaching, research,
and internationalization. Our curriculum is well balanced to cover most
disciplines in liberal arts, management, social sciences, engineering,
science, and marine sciences.Currently, we have a student body of approximately 10000 and 440
full-time faculty members.

The university library is situated in the center
of the campus and is also the focal point of the university layout.Students are also encouraged to make
good use of the track and field stadium, basketball court, tennis court,
swimming pool, baseball field, and skating rink, etc.Students can also play volleyball,
table tennis, aerobics, and workout in the gymnasium.A newly remodeled student dormitory
is provided for international students.
