Brief Introduction (100 words):
National University of Kaohsiung (NUK) was
founded in February 2000 under government auspices to achieve the balanced
development of higher education between southern and northern Taiwan, and to
help establish Taiwan as an Asia-Pacific Regional Operations Center.It is one
of the leading academic institutions aiming for quality research and
teaching.Currently, NUK offers
30 undergraduate,
graduate, doctoral, and law degrees through 5 colleges, namely College of
Humanities and Social Sciences, College of Law, College of Management,College of Science, and College of
Engineering.To go
internationally, NUK welcomes partners from all of the world and has been
eagerly looking for collaboration relationship with schools overseas.
Facilities (50words)
There are 11 facilities built up in NUK,
including The Multi-functional Building, The First Building of Science and
Engineering, The Second Building of Science and Engineering, Accommodation
and Recreation, The Water Land Park, The Computer Science and Library
Building, The Building of Management, The Building of Law, Faculty Dormitory,
Student Dormitory, and the sewage treatment plant. The campus is currently
under construction as planned and the University will be able to offer guest
visitors an excellent range of sporting and leisure facilities in the future
all on campus.
Extracurricular activities (75 words)
Students come to NUK have over 60 student
associations to choose from. There are lots of on/off extracurricular
activities taking place yearly. By joining extracurricular activities,
students meet and intermingle with others from different departments/colleges
of the university. With aid of the Division of Student Affairs, our students
have opportunities to run their own associations from page one that they will
not be able to experience in class.

Housing: Dormitory and off campus housing assistance are available for
international students. 2. Scholarships: currently, scholarships are only for
degreed international students not for exchange students. However, we are
working on rules of financial aid for exchange students to learn Chinese at
our Chinese Language Center. 3. Airport Pickup: can be arranged upon request.
